50 is a symbolic milestone but I am proud of this achievement because HERi’s impact is much more than symbolic. Today, thanks to our efforts, 50 female entrepreneurs deliver electrical services to Malagasy rural populations in 50 villages from 7 regions. Considering the lamp rental service alone, over 8320 households (approximately 41600 people) benefit from bright, healthy and sustainable lighting which has allowed them to improve their living conditions. The more important for me is that, thanks to the lamps rented by HERi Madagascar, children can now study later at night with brighter lighting and not being exposed to toxic fumes from kerosene lamps.
I would like to thank the founders and shareholders of HERI Madagascar for their continuous support and all HERi employees (past and current) as well as the 50 HERi entrepreneurs for their work, engagement and dedication. Thank you also to all HERi’s public and private partners who have contributed to our success.
I look forward to celebrating with you the 100th kiosk in early 2017.
Firaisankina no HERi!
Together we grow!
